We are currently collecting stories on literacy theory and history, past or current literacy teachers, and from those who became (or are currently becoming) literate as adults.

This includes:

• Paolo Friere's work in Brazil - philosophy, methodology and implementation.
• The Freedom Schools of the US Civil Rights Movement.
• The Cuban Literacy Campaign of 1961.
• Literacy work and literacy/illiteracy in the contemporary United States.
• Literacy and Illiteracy in the US today
