The Literacy Project is fiscally sponsored by Center for Study of the Americas/CENSA, a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt non-profit organization.  All donations to CENSA are fully tax deductible.

Checks can be written to CENSA, with “Literacy Project” listed in the subject line, and mailed to: The Literacy Project  PO Box 20493 Stanford, CA 95309

 

You will receive a letter for your tax records.

We also welcome in-kind donations. Our current needs are:

• New or used audio recording equipment
• New or used digital video equipment
• New or used tripods
• Digital videocassette tapes (Mini-DV)
• Office supplies

VOLUNTEER
The Literacy Project is an almost entirely volunteer endeavor, with our small funds going to direct expenses on our projects. We welcome volunteers to help with the following:

• Transcribing
• Translating
• Researching literacy history, definitions, and debates
• General office administration.

We also need volunteers who have technical skills in digital media (filming, editing) and graphic design. If you would like to volunteer with us, please send a brief bio/resume to: info@theliteracyproject.org
